  1. Can i ask why you wouldn't even take a woody home for yourself or your dog? There f*****g delicious!!! So ive heard, but never tried. Not too long since i stopped being fussy with chicken, so one step at a time
  2. Well, the woods i was in were next to crop fields on the same permission , and have been requested to clear any pidgeons i see. But as i said,i dont usually bother as i dont take them for food, or even dogfood, so i leave for the other fella and stick to the crows/rats. So no, i wasnt planning on taking it home for eating anyway. As for ID'ing, there were other pidgeons about, just my luck to get the tagged one, and as i said in OP, it was partly behind a branch, but i still had a clear shot where needed. Only when i got close i seen the tag. As for why i felt the need to tell everyone o
  3. If 1 of yours doesn't come back you know who to blame Alright, thanks for the answers. Was just curious if the tag meant anything diffrent/special. Seems not.
  4. Glad i had my gloves on then, no fingerprints on the bird and the bodies well enough hidden. Time to pack i guess
  5. hey, first off, i tried a search on here and looked up on google, but ive got a question i couldnt find answer to, but ill give the background first I was out in woods for first time with my dog, when he spooked a pigeon on the ground, it didnt fly far and landed in a tree. It was a bit obscured by a branch, but i still had a clean enough shot, so i took it. It was only as i got closer i realised the bugger was tagged. One white tag on its right leg, with some numbers on it. Ive never encountered a tag before, so i didnt look closely at the numbers, but from my searching, most racing
  6. http://cgi.ebay.com/UltraFire-CREE-300Lumens-Tactical-Flashlight-Set-/180598273567?pt=US_Flashlights&hash=item2a0c7ef61f Bought one of these Week or 2 ago after my Deben Gl2 broke, Which was about £60 for torch and charger, Compared to that one which is 30 dollars, whatever that is, £22 ish. Thats got no charger with it, but the ones with chargers are around same price. Im not quite sure, but with the deben one i got 2 pieces of mounts that look like the one in ebay picture. One that goes on the scope, and other bit that goes round the torch and they connect together. Not
  7. No problem http://cgi.ebay.com/UltraFire-CREE-300Lumens-Tactical-Flashlight-Set-/180598273567?pt=US_Flashlights&hash=item2a0c7ef61f Thats the one if your unlucky and need a new one No charger with it, but theres another with charger for about same price i think. Just got email that its been dispatched today, 15 working days it reckons. Was hoping to have it bit sooner for over the holidays but oh well
  8. Glad to hear it got replaced but...I was using the exact same till recently. When i first bought it, the On/off switch cap wasnt too clever, and then just stopped working completely after a couple of uses (not many). I thought fine, Its only the pressure switch ill be using anyway. The pressure switch worked great for me, no problems at all like the previous Smk Ledray i had bought, dodgy wiring i think. I got that swapped for the GL2. But, I went to use it few nights ago, and it wouldnt come on unless i wiggled the wire around a bit. I only got it on for a couple of secs then
  9. Just ordered a cree r2 led torch from ebay. Price diffrence between them and the Deben Ledrays is incredible. Especially considering my Deben GL2 broke yesterday after maybe 10 nights out with it. Should of listened at the time when was told on here to go with some of the ebay torches Figured at least if i went with a deben it should last, for the price of it anyway... Anything else is getting bought on ebay now Also, ive had a quick look around on ebay and found a Leupold mark 4 4-14x scope. For 68 dollars. Had a look at some other scopes and you can get some pretty good deals
  10. Just wondering, Been looking at the air arms from local gunshop. Not been in yet, just had a look on their site. They have S410 £510, and S410F Classic Superlite. £535 Had a look around google etc but i cant seem to find any info that says what the "F" stands for? They have an S510 also but due to the comments in here think id stick with a s410 instead, Thats if i ever get round to buying a pcp, Plenty of money, just a bit miserable
  11. Thanks for that. Might go round sometime too see them. Maybe after this snow lifts, if it does Thanks again
  12. Good thread, answered some of my own thoughts also. Quick question to save making a new thread for it, just when i seen it mentioned here. I live quite near a golf course, and have been thinking about checking in to see if need any rabbits taken out. Just wondering who i would speak to..? Is a posh place from what ive seen, So wouldnt want to mention to the wrong person and ruin the chances, so was thinking a groundskeeper type would be best bets, Do most golfcourses have a groundskeeper etc? Sorry for the thread hijack, didnt want to make a new one.
  13. If its not selling/sold, Someone i work would maybe be interested in it, He doesnt come on this site so would need a phone number for him. Not too far away, Irvine. Was shocked when i read its 20 years old, thought it was a typo. Looked quite modern to me. Obviously Andy's interested but just putting it out there anyway
  14. Thanks for the replys guys. Hadnt looked at the for sale section too much before. Had a look now, Skimmed through to about page 70 looking at hw100's for sale. All i can say is glad i posted here,Shop does seem very expensive for 2nd hand, Dont think ill be buying that then. Will keep my eye on the section, some good deals, just mostly england it seems unfortuantly :\ Might stop looking completly now due to lack of time etc to actually use it anyway, but if i see a deal like below, Dont think i could resist Thanks again, saved me a bit of money
