How many times I could say this I have heard it before ,most often with deerhound xes and sals pure and some with collie in the make up . These types are normally bred for vermin ,and are usually ok for that any heavy quarry they get dragged about though , on a serious note pound for pound inch for inch they ok make great rat dogs .atb bunnys.

that's fair point mate and I can see where your coming from , but I will say as 1x gsd x grey as really surprised with his speed/agilty/stamina for a big dog, he got good strike on him , he as caught rabbits as easy as Bryn as , and in fact had bigger bag than Bryn . to me Buck he just a 1x lurcher that can do as good as any 1x or sometimes better , he will tackle anything you put him on he quite full on temp when hunting , but around the yard very quite sensitive dog very easy to live with likes people+dogs Buck would be like most 1xs the start of a lurcher , if x ba

What you thinking about mate, I gonna be after a pup soon, not after one of you lol just being nosey I know a somebody who keeps GSD x collies. they have been line bred for a number of generations with the occasional outcross to either of the two breeds. Tney excel as all round farm dogs, and have been successful small holders dog. Herding, guarding, beating and even gundog work. Not as demanding as a pure collie and less sensitive, without the physical problems that the GSD can suffer. Turning out about 23 to 25" they are good solid dogs. Having seen the Alsatian type xs saluki a good quality type not dissimilar ta the mall xs dogs around 26biches 24 ta25 but strong good bone very strong Neva needing nails clipped I know there be other breeds in the mix of coursing type but saluki his the prominent breed a fast type or something off the likes of Romeo blood will suffice the results a good lurcher for a working lurcherman. For what it's worth muscle his just that ,and in lots a cases can work against a animal ,when needed to run long distances and also lots a short repot ion runs those animals look very nice but nice his has does and pics at times can Neva give a perspective look on performance.but for what it's worth long Leen muscle while it don't look and turn the head for some there be others looking for this in there animal of choice horses for courses like the little African of ours today waved by all the opposition today and still had a full tank atb bunnys
