  1. Okay, I've had a couple of queries but no firm offers so £125 including postage and package signed for at destination if required.
  2. I bought this lamp just over a year ago to put on the roof of the 4x4 however "she who must be obeyed" has decided that this was not going to happen! As a result, it has sat in my wardrobe for a year gathering dust feeling sorry for itself. It has never been on my motor or wired up in anyway and, as such, is in the same condition it was when I bought it. I have put a brand new bulb in it for the sale as it came without one. I would like £125 plus postage and packaging. Payment can be by cheque or paypal. Cheers David
  3. I had a wildcat predator 8 moderator on my 22/250 which is basically the strippable version of the T8. I recently changed to an a-tec cmm4 and I would really really recommend this moderator. It only weighs 225g which is a third of the weight of a t8 type moderator and I dont even notice it on the end of the rifle, very well balanced. I think it was around the £250 mark and is probably as loud as an unmoderated .22 rimfire at most.
  4. I use a .22 if I ever have to dispatch a sheep and then bleed it from the throat immediately. www.steam-museum.org.uk/.../the_slaughter_of_sheep_for_private_consumption_by_the_owner.pdf Has some info in it regarding this.
  5. It doesnt play on any of the media players I have on my PC and unfortunately I cant find a converter on google either
  6. I have a CD of foxpro digital calls however they are in a .fxp format. Does anyone know how to convert them to .mp3 or .WAV etc Cheers David
  7. That butcher book is a good read, thanks for recommending it. :thumbs-up:
  8. Cheers for that. I will give it a good read through to check im legal. I had previously used the following as a reference: butchering lamb link
  9. Can anyone advise me please what the going rate is to have a lamb slaughtered and butchered at the butchers. I have been asked by a neighbouring farmer to do ten lambs for him however am completely unsure what to charge as when I have done this previously I have eccepted lamb carcasses in exchange not money. David
  10. Cheers, Ill get that one ordered up from amazon
  11. Seconded, slow cooked it tastes amazing
  12. I have not tried it myself but here is a recipe link: http://www.scottish-recipes.com/rook-pie.html
  13. I have recently watched a couple of deer processing DVD's by a chap named dave stretton which I found very informative. Could anyone here recommend me any other butchery/processing DVD's on the market at present that are worth a look. I am particularly interested in deer and lamb/mutton. Also on this subject are there any reference books available with detailed photographs and descriptions of meat cuts. I appreciate any recommendations. David
  14. if i was u i would buy 300 for the first year spend ur money on feeders and pull in ur neighbours birds how many people are in ur club/ syndicate I have not set it up yet I have just been offered the land. I was trying to cost up so I could see how many people I would need to cover costs. Feeders are included with the pens and water troughs and drinkers so poults and feed are my main costs along with the rent of the land.
