  1. Buy an old Biakal SS non ejector for about £50 and a magnet. You could always make a magnet from bits from any scrapyard. Its easy enough!
  2. Thanks clint. I've just joined a rough shooting syndicate for next season, and I get access to loads of land for pigeon shooting with that too. Your gig sounds good, a bit too far north for me though but thanks for the offer!!
  3. I got two the other day over rape, they just werent coming anywhere near?!?
  4. "I figured you might not be a real pigeon man - more of an armchair pigeon (forum) shooter. John." I think this quote from NPPC says it all! Why would i pay £150 for this!?!
  5. Thanks for the response guys. Having been in contact with John Shooter, I have decided to save my money!! I found him to be very rude in emails and not very forthcoming in providing info on the areas he has permissions over. I dont expect to be told that I don't have a clue, even if this is the case! The customer is always right and Mr Shooter would be wise to remember this!
  6. http://www.nppc.co.uk/ Is anyone a member and is it any good?
  7. I had the option of a guide, but chose not to. It was an extra £50, and I've read everything available to learn about decoy patterns so thought I would try and put this into practice. The £50 will pay for another day
  8. Cheers guys. I thought it best to go for 'paid for' days at first. I dont want to go hunting for permissions localy, only to shoot nothing and look a tit in front of the farmer! This way I can learn with no pressure to perform. Just hope the weather improves considerably!
  9. Hi all. Just thought I would be polite and introduce myself. My name is Joe, I live in Leicestershire and have recently developed a love for shooting. I've been shooting clays for a little while now but am keen to start on the real thing. I have arranged a (paid for) days shooting pigeons over rape in a couple of weeks and am looking for any advice I can get to help me with my first day on live quarry. I've bought myself some shell decoys, camo gear, 500 30g 6's, and the all importand mask. So have all the gear and no idea!! Any help or advice would be greatfully accepted.
