  1. Thanks guys the replies are appreciated.
  2. Need advice on a good leather cleaner and a conditioner. Previously used neatsfoot oil and that was OK. Looking for really good stuff this is to clean and restore a vintage leather bag. Cheers.
  3. Stuck several of my jackets on flea bay when it was free weekend last week. Maybe of interest to some of you guys. Most are XXL. Barbour, Musto and Solognac jackets and a fleece. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190883415039?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190883420347?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190883427885?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190883432468?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 http://www.ebay.co.uk
  4. What type of rings do you have on the target scope?
  5. Fantastic stuff. The fox piece is worth the asking price. It's a pity I don't have it. Keep doing what your doing it's just incredible.
  6. This was on another forum but is from a Vortex rep "DeviousSB, I think the smiley was because the Crossfire's are not made in the USA. Sorry, I hope that doesn't disappoint you, but I don't want you to feel misled. I wish there was a way to make them in the USA and sell them for a profit that those prices, but unfortunately it just isn't possible in this day and age. The Crossfire is our only riflescope series that we are making in China. Vortex is a US Veteran owned business and we employ about 40 Americans. Our products are designed right here in WI, and all service and
  7. Vortex PST scopes are manufactured in the Philippines using Japanese lenses, the Razor HD range is built in Japan and the cheaper scopes in their range are Chinese in manufacture. Strangely enough the precision rings are American in origin http://www.vortexoptics.com/product/vortex-precision-matched-rings-30mm-riflescope-medium-height
  8. Coldweld while I absolutely understand your logic, the rings I found for the Vortex cost £125.00 http://www.newpro-europe.com/VTX/product/vortex-precision-matched-rings-30mm-riflescope-medium-height.html I know the others are there but WHO would buy them? The 3 scopes up in Tain are between Cat 2-3 in condition meaning they all show varying degrees of wear and tear. Plus they are much dearer. As I'm having these sent over by a family member as a gift from the states the actual costs to me is between £621 and £631 due to differences in shipping and handling. So even If I do not like eith
  9. Narrowed my choice down to these two. Would appreciate your opinions on either. I've suffered weeks of information overload regarding scopes so while I would normally appreciate alternatives can I ask you guys not to mention others you feel I may be better off with or I'll be back at square one again Scope 1 http://www.newpro-europe.com/VTX/product/vortex-viper-pst-6-24x50-ffp-riflescope-with-ebr-1-moa-reticle.html Scope 2 http://aimfieldsports.com/epages/www_aimfieldsports_com.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/www_aimfieldsports_com/Products/SIIISS8-32x56LRMOA The scope will b
  10. Checked out the http://www.optics-trade.eu site and this how it compares for the 10x50x60 SIII Sightron, URL below http://www.optics-trade.eu/shop/en/sightron-siii-tactical-10-50x60-lr-ir-moa.html according to the latest currency conversion rates that equals £1061 (http://www.xe.com/ucc/convert/?Amount=1303&From=EUR&To=GBP) without P+P Johnny Sals sells the same scope for $1250 again without P+P but that equals £769 (http://www.xe.com/ucc/convert/?Amount=1250&From=USD&To=GBP) £1061 - £769 = £292 cheaper. De_Tomaso are you sure about there being Z
  11. De_Tomaso over a certain price for goods you still have to pay duty to bring things in from EU countries. I do not know what the limit is but I imagine it is not that much more than you have as a limit for non EU countries. I would be very interested in a comparison if you know of any good sites. Cheers
  12. Hawkeye, is the 20% worked out on the declared value as stated on the export forms?
  13. Picking a scope is a very personal choice. I too am in the market for a scope but have decided to go a slightly different route. I have been looking to the USA as the prices are way cheaper than here, £300-£400 saved on the Sightron I have in mind. What usually kills the deal is companies not willing to export and the import duty imposed by customs once your item hits these shores. I have a cousin in California who I can have the scope sent to (Free shipping within continental USA) he will then repackage the scope and send it to me as a gift thus bypassing the duty. I have no idea of the % tha
  14. The knives look very good but if I may make a suggestion. I have lurked here for a long time now and have always had a great interest in the knives being made here but the thing that has stuck with me through seeing hundreds of pictures was actually a sheath design. The one where the body of the sheath is separated from the belt loop by a D ring. It was just that bit different that it stuck in my mind and if you are trying to sell stuff being memorable is where its at. Good luck with your sales.
