What cleaning stuff can i use to clean out the ferret hutch i have just been using water and washing liquid but hutch still smells a bit. Thanks

I have just got 2 ferrets and am just new to all this i shoot etc but ferrets are new to me what size of cage would be best for them? Is a meal in morning and one at night ok for them? What age do people start to work their ferrets?
