  1. Hi Cheers for that. I did notice the tops came off when i cleaned it. I'll have a look this year at what happens when i remove them. I hatched 66% of all the eggs i set including the clears. I was hatching various bantams and i even managed to hatch a completly different variety of bantam to the eggs i received How did you go on with yours?
  2. No Bother...as you know the instructions aren't to helpful! I think its down to it being a imported machine. I found that if i filled the reservoirs as it suggested the humidity was way to high even filling just one. So i used nescafe 200 gram, flat bottomed coffee jar lids and found that each gave me 18-23 % humidity and a 100 gram lid gave me 10-15 which got me to the humidity i wanted. For hatching i swapped the 100g lid for a 200g lid. I also used lucazade squeezee pop bottles to fill the lids through the egg tray as they don't drip till you squeeze. Worked for me good luck.
  3. Did you get the instructions? if not PM an email addy and i'll send you a copy.
  4. Wow Many thanks for the offers and information... ideally I would like to get things going this year. There's a few localish places i might be able to get some adult birds, so i'll be having a look in the next week or so, once i've sorted the accomodation. Thanks again for the offers.
  5. I'm wanting to get a few bantams to sit on some partridge eggs and teach the young a bit of sense, just wondering what breed would be best for this. I have quite a few bird killing cats about the place which i can't do anything about so they'll need to be a bit fiesty, but small enough for the job in hand. Any ideas on what would be the best breed for this would be appreciated.
  6. A boy asks his dad the difference between 'theoretically' and 'realistically'. Dad says ''that's hard but I have an idea. Ask mum if she would sleep with the milkman for £1 million quid''. Mum says "Yes". Dad says ''Now ask your sister if she'll sleep with the coalman 2 million quid''. Sister says "Yes". Dad says "Well there you go son that's your answer, theoretically we're sitting on 3 million quid, but realistically we're living with a couple of slags" !!!
  7. LIGHT BULB!!! theres a light bulb in here
  8. Anyone would think that badgers were rare from that bbc report...then the bbc reporter says theres just a million he then go's on too use the term "eradicated" A cull is a cull, and simply reduces numbers to a manageable level...why they can't just accept the results from Ireland with regard to TB i just don't know All problematic animals/birds and a fair few humans should be culled and with a million badgers there's plenty to go at. They should start with those making the peoples lives a misery in the EDRD article...Badgers in their garden FFS What on earth are the powers that be going
  9. Are the crisps down your end ...lovely pups by the way

In light of the fact that if your on 100,000+ a year you can claim your TV license fee as expenses....Will those of you employed and self employed be adding this to this years Self Assessment? I know i will
  11. It's the look back that gets me...whats up, why's he rolling around
  12. MarkBrick, Why can you still hunt rabbits and rats, put Terriers to ground, use lurchers, hounds etc within the law! Without the Countryside Alliance/The Marchers and the hunting supporters in the House of Commons/Lords EVERTHING would of been banned and backed up with the same penalties as there is for illegal hunting. As it is, its a far cry from perfect, but it is a damn site better than the alternative. With regard to existing organisations i see nothing at all wrong with specialised organisations, they enhance the scope for support in that they will pick up members who wouldn't be me
  13. Absolute Beauties I'm a sucker for a nice pair mysel
