  7. Well thought the weather would hold for a bit , but as it was planned anyway Chris bull X & Bob Hope made the journey up, we met at the pub for a quick pint and then ventured out for some sport. Suffice to say it was very very warm, so we only ran for over an hour, and the 3 dogs excelled But we could see the signs, so we called it a night and dropped into a good sleep Many cuppas in the morning and a chat about the nights sport and we where all happy as larry Thanks to Chris & Bob for a good night, some top pooches out and some excellent company. Good stuff lads

  9. IF you can't be arsed to get permission, and run your dogs wherever, then you must me aware of the consequences if your caught by the land owner/police etc... Like has been said, if you own land, be it 300ft or 300 acres, you would take the hump if someone without the authority to be on there was actually running game or dogs on your land Inc your back garden. Just that some gardens are alot bigger than others. Its a simple matter of possession. And that's all it is, you run without permission, then accept what can happen & vice versa. In this day & age when loads of stock
  10. Ye they can, but probably not as much as a collie/whip/grey etc... , but what they lack for in the pace etc.. they sure as hell make up for it in determination and guts amd usually give 100% on everything they are slipped on. Hope this helps.
  11. Its because of peoples ignorance,as above, that the ban was implemented, because of hunting site forums the antis and animal welfare organisations have all the ammo they need to keep the ban in place, the majority of this ammo comes from the mindless minority in the lurcher world. So you think the ban was implemented by the lad running his dog in the middle of the night, silently, as opposed to a load of brightly coloured people on horseback charging around the countryside with horns in broad daylight and killing foxes infront of the public eye is not a reason? I guarantee you that if yo
  12. I'm a firm believer that the ban was bought about by some of the mounted packs, 1 man with one dog taking a couple of foxes at night, no problem. Then you had the mounted packs, meeting at a pub, running all over the locality with hounds, getting one to ground, digging and letting it run again, only for it to be caught by 30 or so dogs in a field next to a lay-by where "Nigel, Lisa & kids" have stopped in the car for a break & a picnic, to see a right mullering of an animal. So as far as I'm concerned, some of the mounted packs are to blame (not all) but I've seen it with my o
  13. Doesn't really matter if your out with a yorkie, poodle, dalmation, westie, great dane lab, springer or Lurcher! As long as you have a bottle of pepsi in one hand and a fag in the other, and your out & about everyday in the great British countryside enjoying life and bimbling about with a dog in the fields & hedgerows as opposed to being stuck infront of a telly, then who cares what's what and what you do
