  4. usually go a walk with my dogs after work everyday but its not worth going a good walk because its getting dark too early and a cant go lamping late on at night because ave got work the next day. does anyone ever go lamping earlier, around 8 and have they found it good or not on a good lamping nite atb johnbhoy

  6. there was a guy fishing about 100 yards down i was there 3 hours and he never caught anything ,i could have had a bag full from around my feet easily we were fishing for salmon a few times that year. we fished the clyde at the salmon gates at blantyre. they were fishing jumping everywhere but we never had any luck. found it quite hard to be honest. a few times we just sat n watched at the falls. great fish atb

  8. get the dog use to you first. just do the basic training the now and a bit of dummy work. drop rabbits are a long way away yet mate. a done a lot of dummy work with my dog and its paid of so a would suggest that but dont over do it. just take your time tho. theres a few people on this that will help you out if you ever get get stuck. hope it turns out well atb john

  12. am on the same boat aswell. my pups 8 months old ave been taking it out once a week on the lamp and once during the day. a think its just how the dog grows and how mature it is, all dogs are different but a trained it and watched it for days on end growing and learning and when every clicked together a waited a few weeks then a knew it was time to take it out. a know ave made the right decision because the dogs showing good signs. all dogs are different the only person that will know if the dogs ready is the person whos trained it and reared it atb john
  13. cracking pup mate, its not that much different from training a gundog except your letting it run instead of getting it steady, hope you have good times with him/her atb john
