  1. They take me back, had many a good day using those and similar plugs, so many great memories as a kid and through to teens fishing... I was short for the deposit on my first house and sold all my tackle to make it up, I hadn't fished as much for the previous couple of years or so as doing a lot more with the dogs once I had my own transport, I know I didn't get what it was fully worth and still regret it today as I had some great stuff... as a kid I always enjoyed the weekend trip to the tackle shop with my paper round money.... Thanks for posting the pics brought back some great memor

Funny how some memories stick with you.....never forget being on a dig a few years ago seeing the young un so concentrated on the job in hand and already knowing the craic (making sure his dad knew what was going on LOL) Lets hope all these young un's have the same opportunities we've had. 387195_330721643623386_163331877_n.jpg 391878_329416970420520_573881557_n.jpg Im sure these pics above are of that day ....the hounds had marked a spot and it very tight we had to drop 2 holes as the terrier was stuck tight mid tube it was a decent sized d

  4. get in touch with maxhardcore off here he should be able to help your mate
  5. Got to agree with how deadly buzzers can be on still waters esp under a bite indicator.. but I've also had quite a bit of success fishing a similar idea on the rivers... a weighted nymph fished off/under a klinkhammer, had some good days on the early Grayling using this method.
  6. Sigh we are going round in circles here...... What part of the guy has to lock the dog up when GUESTS come or it would nail them, don't you understand? This has to be easily the third time I've said this to you now so there must be a blockage somewhere..... Regarding the dog chasing the rabbit, that's the same scenario I gave you only I said hare. Yes the dogs trained, if said dog ran at a bush cos it heard a rabbit in it but a sheep came running out, I'd expect the dog to stop chasing because its TRAINED to chase rabbits. If a dog lives in a house and its job is to defend the property agains
  7. As I understand it yes you can but it has to be for your own and families (direct family) consumption I'm sure there is something about that you can't sell or even give it away to anyone friends and family included.
  8. Is it humane to shoot something then mate? I'd hate to go down the humane route for Halal for it to be banned and then them to turn on shooting and ask for that to be banned. As I've said I see no 'cruelty'.....maybe not best practice but not 'cruelty' in my eyes. Have to agree, also someone mentioned the ban in denmark however all the articles I've seen quote that this was for "Animal Rights"...I'm all for "Animal Welfare" however we all know the nut jobs and extremes that they go to for "Animal Rights"...A dangerous precedent to be set for "Animal Rights" purposes besause as you've

  10. Great read RAW thanks for posting
  11. And what you have described does exactly that (respect the fox) whilst it may be hard on any fox population in that area during lambing/breeding season in reality after springtime not much, very little or any control is done in those areas during the rest of the year after the breeding/lambing season so other foxes move into the ground hence why the same dens are visited year after year it doesn't wipe out the population but controls it during a critical period. For me it's about a balance of control which if done right can keep numbers under control whilst also allowing the area to re popula
  12. Clever PR, as has been said at least those boys got down and did some, the most those parasitic MPs did was walking a round with wellies on looking at the floods... perhaps they should have done a few hrs shifting sand bags...but they can't even be arsed to do that for PR
  13. Ok thanks I'll look it up
  14. Pate looks tasty, you got the recipe?
