  1. Still got a few sadly no photos mine came from the Isle of white from a certain doctos strain one line came almost always with blue in the body with gold flashes in the chest feathers the others came a dark mahogany with white in the tail yellow legs , I am not aware of any other decent ones in the uk but thats doesnt mean they arnt out there
  2. A very decent looking ginger I preffer the last ones to the earlier ones which looked a bit more cobby in body. Some interesting comments regards Oxfords Ive not shown for a few years but still try and keep true to type no Viking boats in my flock I dont knock anyone for keeping what they preffer, but disagree with the comments made over what is an Oxford the club was set up to promote and keep a certain type of bird the same for posterity without change that was based on meetings held by the top men of the day now sadly it seems that some now are making out all those men for some 100 yea
  3. minimum of 7 days if you had used cypromec ( forgive the spelling ) thats used for meat cattle there is no withdrawl period
  4. Just finished reading the best of fulldrop a few weeks ago well worth people reading from a man who was there and saw the continual crossing that went on to produce the birds at the top Ive got some interesting info on the chinese game and laos game that went into the yanks over the years
  5. Large Indian Game tend to be too lazy to crow much but can make a usefull cross if you are up to eating any surplus males. also very docile
  6. Brinsea motors are a weak point especially on a 40 egg machine I gave up on them long ago I have had a few Rcoms the pro is definatly a good machine but again parts are expensive dont buy the chinese machines they are just cheap imho
  7. you can get asil with that combe but no shamo will ever come with that comb you would need to let him mature for at least another year to see what he fills out like hes not got any tell tale curvature which comes from crossing with a Malay . I persoonally wouldnt breed from him until I was more sure what he was
  8. Gingers seem to be in decline the good ones anyway I would breed true to true but if you cant find a good typi ginger cock go for a pyle and breed the best stag back to his mother that way you will get back to gingers
  9. The best method that I have tried was from India they would put eggs that failed to hatch in the nest box of an egg eater yes they will try but once they have tasted a ransid egg they will never forget trust me it works
