  1. Don't buy the Primos unless u want to replace them again in 18 mths. Great sticks agreed. Mine have seized up, another family members also seized up too. There are no seals inside the legs to prevent water, condensation, snow and ice from getting in tried to repair to no avail seized again
  2. FYI https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/circular-0072015-the-firearms-variation-of-fees-order-2015/the-firearms-variation-of-fees-order-2015
  3. Yep its the glass ur paying for my 6.5x47Lapua has an IOR 5.8-40x56 with Schott glass....you certainly notice the difference when you chop and change between glass on different rifles.
  4. Many cheap scopes don't like bright sunlight on high magnification". I have MTC 4-16 and 2x MTC 6-24's, 6-24's not so good on a sunny day against white targets on high magnification....Quality secondhand would be a better recommendation from me...If you dont like the scope than you can always flog it an get what you paid back too...Unlike new cheap ones.
  5. If you want a quality scope that will last for years at an affordable price for quality glass scopes check out the Meopta range...
  6. I use a James Cleaner, same 480 second cycle about 3 or 4 times, I use cold water with Ecover washing up liquid and a touch of James Sea Clean. I use cold water because it heats up through the cycle use and if you start with luke warm water it ends up hot which stains the brass. On completing the wash cycle I then bung the load into a solution of Ecover dishwasher rinse aid to remove any contaminants and towel dry the outsides To dry internally I leave them either on the radiator overnight when on or into the fan oven on 130 deg c for 15mins and then air cool seems to work for me
  7. Browsing the internet this morning and found this....Be Aware!!! http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2014/12/robert-farago/breaking-remington-agrees-to-replace-triggers-in-all-model-700-rifles/ Could this break Remington?
  8. Fit a Timney you wont regret it... 1.5 lb pull, i can achieve sub .500 with my .243 in a B&C stock
  9. That's what I have heard, my mate had his 223 done and say's the same,i hope he is wrong trouble is you cant sell the bloody thing without the work done on it,although I hope I don't have to. I am that person and the trigger was bl**dy awfull. All of my postage costs were paid by Remington but my rifle was still in its 12mths warranty period. Oh and I waited 5 months for mine to be replaced. I have had a Jewell trigger, which is still on backorder since April (when i first got wind of the recall). The trigger which Remington replaced not repaired was so bad....it was heavy with
  10. Try Gardners Guns, Nr Longtown Cumbria, they got plenty 220 Swift they cant shift.... U could probably make them an offer they have had it that long....
  11. Buy...lots of manuals, MTM storage boxes for loaded ammo, oh and a large notebook to keep track of what your doing for future reference.
  12. Lee Modern Reloading quotes a N140 Jacketed bullet, 55gn @ 24.7 start (3051) to 26.8 (compressed)(3343), hope this helps
  13. My fave at the moment is 52gn Matchking, 23.3gn VV N133
  14. Check out his other vid's especially the stalking ones....there is a purpose to what he is doing...plus its his job, long range tuition. although I agree checking apps can be a pain ITA.
  15. Triggers coming into the country in dribs and drabs, mine just been changed was told only 30 triggers available for fitting in the last batch.... not impressed with new trigger either seems majority of adjustment has been removed from the replacement, pity as ive had a Jewell on order since April too when i got wind of the recall.
