  1. My most recent permission is a golf course and my feo cleared it for .17hmr no problems. So far ive only been a couple of times and there is not a lot about but looking forwards to the warmer weather and them early mornings before the golfers arrive
  2. Its amazing how shot rabbits can move i had a 70 yard hmr headshot last week and the rabbit jumped 3ft in the air, when i went to pick it up no rabbit after looking around i saw some blood on the ground and then found it stone dead 18 inches into a rabbit hole!! It must of got there on automatic pilot
  3. Best of luck and let us know how you get on.
  4. Nice one I just love those long range hmr shots, put the cross hairs on it, pull the trigger that whip crack sound of the round (slight delay), bunny goes down (slight delay) and thwack the sound of impact comes back at you, Great
  5. I recon no 2 36`s with about 100ft of lead
  6. One thing i would like to mention is useing a bipod i personally use shooting sticks, with a bipod you still need somewhere to rest the bipod and think if you shoot prone this time of year you are lieing in mud, water and maybe cows s--t not very nice, also because of the low arc of fire you have to watch the back drop more. Where as with shooting sticks you are shooting from a standing position so are shooting down in to the ground and also shooting over the top of any long grass, undulations in the ground ect. And also great for use when sitting. Anyway thats my view but i think worth thinki
  7. This shows how some feo`s are more helpfull than others, when i first applied for my fac i was 3 years into my sgc term. My feo was very helpfull he not only told me to make sure i done it coterminusly but also told me the form numbers to download and the price. Its a pitty they are not all the same
  8. Here are my babies in the same order as my signature .17 Wildcat wisper mod, Tasco 4x16 50, Deben LEDray light. G22 Walther red dot sight, green laser sight, Mount on bottom front picatinny railfor LEDray light
  9. My ticket does not state fox but my feo is happy that i can. He told me being a shooting man that he has taken fox with a .22lr. Also if you are in an area where you cannot get a straight yes or no have you tried calling B A S C to see what they say?
  10. On foot, i am normally on my own and i find that i prefer walking around to driving and opening gates and getting mud in the motor. The only problem is carrying the bunnys around so i leave them hung on fences and pick them up at the end.
  11. My hammergun is my favorit one to take out for the day so i thought that will do. And of course it is a 12 bore
  12. Hi i know this is an old post!! but if you are still looking have you tried any golf courses yet? I shoot at a few farms and after getting a new outlet for my shot rabbits last Dec` i went to my local course and asked the manager-pro if he need any rabbit control needed doing straight away he said yes, then i said would it be ok to get my feo to check it out for my .17 yes again it was that easy. The only thing is you have to go really early or late to avoid the golfers
  13. You should get a 1517 non thumbhole for about £500 a bit more if it is threaded, these are the best because if you get it done after you have brought it you have to get it proofed before you can sell it on ( another £100 )
  14. Well said that man, had mine since last June never looked back Do not forget a decent mod
