4 to 5 miles, easily. In the right conditions, up to 10 miles.

Simon, yes I do use locators all the time. Pigs are bad to run long distances around here. Doesn't take long to lose a dog.

This is Jewel, my 9 yr. old jagd. This hog is number 700 that she has been in on. She is old and slow, but still loves it. The other dog is a blackmouth cur/walker cross.

Wish we had some of that snow and ice down here.
