I relieved the stock on my Savage MKII and used fiberglass and 2 part epoxy to bed the action and the first inch of the barrel, yes it did make a difference for me, a big difference. The barrel was already floated for what it's worth. Phil

I think that's the main issue with UK deer hunting, it's mainly case of having money or being lucky enough to know someone who can offer you opportunities. It's a shame but that may be due in part to over 60 million people living on an island and a general anti-gun anti-hunting attitude among much of the public. Thank you again, Phil

Using Kiwi shoe polish you'll be just fine, I used only one application of wax before buffing to a shine and it popped out using 2 fingers on the barrel and 2 fingers on the stock!
