  6. looks like its going to be the Anschutz then....all i need now is my licence to come through the post, then a trip down sportsman gun centre.....hopefuly they'll have a good selection to choose from! does anyone know if the colour of the stock varies on the Anschutz? im going to be looking for a fairly dark stock!!
  7. the bolt action is much smoother on the sako but theres still something about the anschutz that i really like. also the stock on the sako is better looking but they vary quite a bit,is it the same on the anschutz because i prefer a darker stock? otherwise im just going to have to go down newport to the sportsman gun centre and see what i come back with!
  8. no need for the banter boys!im just wondering what peoples views were between a sako quad hunter and an anschutz 1417
  9. im stuck between getting an Anschutz 1417 or a sako quad hunter. I went to have a look at them both today in the local gun shop and really cant choose and was hoping you guys could help me make my mind up before my head explodes!!i will be using it for pest control, mainly rabbits and the odd fox.......cheers
  10. Thanks for the advise wurz but i have already bought the cluelite shootalite lamp package with a red filter and is perfect for what i want it for.it comes with a scope mount, mains charger, car charger and the lamp itself is fairly light.excellent piece of kit....cheers jenx
  11. Cheers for the comments guys.hopefully we wont forget to take a pic of the bunnies before their prept next time!
  12. Went out lampig at 8.45 tonight with Whippeter69 at one of his permissions. I took my Air Arms S400 and a tin of Air Arms Diablo Field, which work very well on the rabbits. We walked around the 4 fields, whippeter was lamping and i was shooting. Had a fair few standing head shots from distances ranging from 20 to 40 yards. The lamp we used was my new Clulite shootalite with a red filter which worked very well. We ended with 10 rabbits wich we prepared when we got home ready for giving to farmers and friends. Heres a couple of pics.
  13. if its as good as my laserlite gl4 you will be well happy with it Jenx296 niel all i can say is...SH*T HOT LAMP!!Even better with the red filter
  14. air arms s400 classic .22 walnut stock and hawke 3-9x40 scope
