If the vets never done that op before make sure you, (A) stress to him it's definitely a vasectomy you want for him and not castration (I've heard of this happening on more than one occasion!!) ( Ask that he removes a tiny section of the tube and doesn't just snip through them. The vet I used as done loads of this type of op and always suggests leaving them 6-8 weeks before putting them in with the jills. Cheers OBE

You could try using a tin of luncheon meat and flavouring it. If the carp are feeding on the surface bread or dog biscuits might be worth a try. Cheers OBE

There is and there isn't !!!, I can think of two very well known tackle suppliers that use exactly the same rod blank for one of their "spod" rods and one of their "Sea" rods they just put different graphics and rings on the blanks. Cheers OBE

I don't know how far it is from where you are mate but there's the River Wye and the River Severn that both hold a good head of decent Chub. For big Chub you can't beat big smelly baits...Blue cheese, lamprey sections or strips of Mackeral all work really well for finding the better fish. Cheers OBE
