Nice one Fergie, glad you are doing it the right way. I have been doing voluntary work at my local bird of prey centre for almost 2 years now. Only now do i feel comfortable with owing a bird of my own. Its a great way of learning the good and bad points of husbundry. Great to fly a bird for the day, but remember that birds of prey live for a very long time, anything upto 18 to 20 years in the case of a Harris Hawk. Anyway, good luck in the future..

Keep your eye on the frequencies as they are doing away with a few, when digi TV kicks in properly. They will be transmitting on the same frequency and will stamp all over your birds signal. Try to stick to 173 or 216Mhz as the 433Mhz is giong to get trashed. On the same note, look out for people in the know trying to get rid of the 433Mhz cheap. you could get burnt. Good luck..
