  6. Cheers mate, an informative answer instead of abuse!! that kinda buggers it for the land I work, there are little nature reserves dotted all over the place, n the chances of findin 150km2 without one somewhere will be slim to non existant!

  9. we use a u call, seems ok for the money, well long cable, heavy duty plug, weve had it on continuously for ages n nothins melted (apart from my mates dodgy cigarette lighter socket!), those cyclops lamps are prety good for 40 squid, our one lasted well over a season, n then the switch went, n my mate replaced it n its still goin strong for him, its about 3 years old now!

  11. Cheers for the help boys! They dont make laws easy do they! My mate has been talkin about gettin a .243 for a while now, so hopefuly he will pull his finger out n sort it!
  12. I do pest control for a few different farms, one has a real problem with deer, can i legaly shoot them with a shotgun? (i dont have a rifle) ive bin told lots of different things by lots of different people and im a bit confused!
  13. thats a quality idea Richard, i am gona try using some old ali crosbow bolt shafts, they should protect the pellets a bit better!
  14. ive just moved to a new area and need to get some new permision, its a small village with a posh gastro pub and a church that most probly needs repairs to the roof. It might just work haha!
  15. We used to take my mates ultra out with the shotgun when we were decoying last year, use the rifle for the sitters in trees, a pellets cheeper than a cartridge!
  16. Antis dont deserve to be hunted with dogs, i show my quary respect! Does any one know what the BNPs stance is on the ban? i am thinking of voting for them but, basicaly i am gonna vote for whoever is most likely to lift the ban!
  17. mine has a 3-9x40 scope with a lazer dot and the LED lenser torch/lamp, its got a slightly shortened barrel (sorry no pictures, dont have a digital camera, will try and upload one off my phone if i remember). when i get some money the standard silencer is gona get replaced and maybe a T.R. Robb breach block (well worth it imo, its got dove tails, no more shitty wobly pro blocks!). I want to make a folding stock for it, but i havnt quite worked out how yet. google crockedbarn.com its in the US but they know how to trick up a rat catcher, i saw a picture of a rabit stopper that had been made int
  18. is looking for the right pup

  19. I was shooting mice in a barn with my rat catcher, it has a lazer so i wasnt using the scope, a pellet bounced back of a steel girder and hit me in the eye It hurt like feck, i thought i was blinded, and everyone else just caried on shootin! After that i started wearing safety specks. Mollie got shot shot in the ass once in the barns, my mate shot a mouse and the pellet went straight through it and hit mollie, well funny!
  20. Ive just moved into a new village well away from all my friends and that, so it could be a bit hard getting someone to look in on the dog, i will have to go introduce my self to my neighbours, there is a woman down stairs with a litlle scotty dog, you never know she might help me out! I am going to look in to paying some one to come round to see to the pup, thanks for your help! Rusty
  21. can you put some pictures up lease mate
  22. I understand what you are saying, but surley you could lessen the impact of abandonment, by leaving the puppy for short periods at first, and get it used to being by its self, and gradualy work up to leaving it all day. thats why i want to take a month off when i first get the pup to settle it in (my last dog was a rescue and you could not leave him, he got better as he got older, but he still used to go mental). And i have found like a modular puppy corral system thing that you can make as big as you like, so the pup would have plenty of room to move around, put a crate in the pen with its li
  23. Thanks very much every one! I cant wait to show my dad what you have all said! I would like to have a kennal dog, but unfortunatly i have a comunial garden, and i dont think my neighbours would be to pleased if i took up the 10' square bit of 'lawn' with a kennel and run. I was planning to take maybe 3 or 4 weeks off work when i first get the pup to settle him in and all that. I have been looking at bloody massive (6'x 12' kinda size) dog crates on the net, and am thinking about getting one so the dog can have a bit of space to move about, that way its basicaly like an indoor kennal and little
  24. My Dad says it would be unfair on the dog if I left him at home all day, but i dont think its much different to having a dog kenneled all day, at least he will be warm and have room to run around with access to his bed, all his toys and water etc. All your views would be most helpfull! Cheers RusryG
