Everything, it's all new to me so I haven't made up my mind yet!
  1. there i was agreeing with everything you said and thinking what a breath of fresh air it was to hear someone talk sensibly for once and then I get to the bit about women and tarty show people....what on earth...
  2. Thank you Sir, your advice seems sound and I'll follow it to the letter. And thanks too for everyone else who's taken an interest. I'll let you know how we get on......
  3. Good one! Must admit the woman next door can't be all that wet, she used to be in the army. But then she told me that one of her colleague's first call was to rescue a moth caught under some person's windscreen wiper SERIOUSLY, beat that for a waste of time and money
  4. Don't worry I understand perfectly that you've got to be careful and I agree it is a disgrace that everyone has to be on their guard, it's the same in foxhunting and believe me I know how careful you've got to be about what you say cos I've just had an RSPCA officer move in next door to me tho I realise saying that isn't gonna win any confidence from all of yous Still, I'm trying to educate her, so that when she tells me tales of how they've had to bring in scuba divers and a boat and all the rest to attempt to 'rescue' an injured swan who then had to be humanely destroyed, I do point out

  6. Hiya to all you extreme hunters, I'm new to this site and a complete virgin to hunting with dogs apart from riding with the Oakley I've been reading some of the mails and I can see how important lurcher breeding is, so I'm prepared to take some flak incase I've got a complete grommit. I've got an 18 month collie/grey/whippet. She's crazy to kill rabbits, and looks like she really wants to work, but I don't know anyone who can show me and her the ropes. Is it too late to start her??? Is there anyone around Beds\Cambs area that would be prepared to take on a couple of rookies?? Cheers
