  1. just spotted an advert for some company selling fridge freezers at the top of the page. Had to laugh....
  2. Hi guys, im new to hunting and am trying to piece together all the legal stuff before i start. I live just a 15 minute walk from some farms im hoping to get permissions from but i also live on a council estate full of idiot chavs and its only a matter of time before i get pulled by the police on my way to or from shooting, so im trying to get as 'air-tight' as possible so i can safely go about hunting without a hitch/police trying to arrest me and take my gun just to meet whatever targets they've been set. I read on here someone slating a guy who was on about shooting a woodcock out of season
  3. woo hoo! shot my first magpie this morning, no pics, no idea of range, just chuffed and inspired and the suns out so its off back into the woods this afternoon. happy hunting to anyone else thats off out today.
  4. ys txt tlk dus my fking hed in 2. The unfortunate thing is, my mum's nearly 51 and SHE'S started doing it. When she texts me i always end up thinking she's some iliterate teenager and it take ages to translate what she's said. like some twisted game of countdown or summat, sorry, something.
  5. i remember having a webley nemesis and we took to firing filter tips when the pellets ran out, all well and good untill one of my mates discovered that by burning the end and twisting it in your fingers, you can fashion quite a nasty projectile, which he then tested out on another friend, it stuck right in his back, subsequently ruining his game of worms!!
  6. Thats bloody hilarious oh, another time we were arseing aroung in the woods and there were some bigger boys wi air rifles that thought itd be funny to shoot at us, but , in a most commando-like fashion, i managed to dive over a log for cover but the tw*t still managed to hit my achilles tendon as my feet flew up in the air (obviously a fluke!)
  7. years ago my mate shot me in the neck wi his gat gun from obout 4 feet away and the pellet just bounced off, tee hee! that incident convinced me never to ever buy a gat gun. The same guy once leant out of his bedroom window and shot at our mate and hit him in the back of the hand an the pellet went right up into his wrist, and, if he hadn't been giving this tos*er the rods, he'd have been hit in the face! luckily, iv been fortunate enough to learn from a young age that pi**ing around with weapons is NOT big and clever.
  8. yeah, the place im getting it from is hardly a reputed dealership so i was gonna take it to my local gunsmiths for a service/tune anyway. any recommended spring (22)? and whats a 'tophat'? i quote donnyc is correct get it tuned but get a gunsmith mate if u dont know how to do the job its safer beleve me yep, im quite qualified in making a bo**ocks of things a pro should do. is there any particularly good, quiet spring?

  10. yes this is all your fault ha ha well your question was answered and if the rams are not avalible to the general public then you really have had a bit of luck finding someone who can get them , and thats what this forums all about finding the answers to questions and meeting new people with similar interests Cheers, see that wasn't hard was it! i was only after advice, not an arm wrestle!! right then, if the noise of my rifle scares wabbits off and a gasram conversion is either A. not available or B will cause world war 3, are there any other ways of quietening this down?
  11. Sorry guys, didnt mean to cause a hoo haa. i just heard about people having gasram conversions and because i could only afford a chinese copy of a TX200 (B.A.M B40) im prepared to modify it as needs be to get it performing as well as poss. i heard gasram conversions help lessen re-coil and noise, which, because of the cheapness of my rifle, im assuming will be beneficial. i just wanted to make sure i wasn't going to waste money having this done if the results are minimal or nowt.
  12. nice one pal.i'll have a gander.
  13. could someone explain what gasram is and does please?
  14. Sorry to interrupt, chaps, but being new to hunting, apart from a fleeting relationship with my mums boyfriends AA tx200 years ago, but what is gasram and what does it do?
