  1. Hi Daz I haven't been ratting for ages to be honest. I am tinkering with DIY NV like many enthusiasts I still like to use the camcorder but it has limited range though IR LED technology is moving forward nicely so when I next go out I will be using one of my own designs which might be zoomable aspheric or reflector fitted with a dimmer, depends which works best for the job Ive got a lathe now and tons of electronic bits (lots of blown stuff ) but its very interesting stuff. ATB Emma
  2. Hi Daz the snipercam in my experience has the clearest image and by far the furthest range. Personally I don't like systems where you have to keep the viewer to your eye, I prefer a screen which I know isn't any good for a lot of applications where the quarry is shy!
  3. I agree and its thanks to nitehunter that nitesite have no patent on this type of system like the night-eye500 and that keeps competition fair and makes pricing better for the buyer The new NS50 has the same board camera as the NS200 now and the difference is the 50 is set to B/W (dont know why they felt they had to do that) and only has a single illuminator. So now an NS50 only needs an extra IR to work better.

  5. That one was a great photo opportunity I definitely would not like to be on the wrong side of Darryl in a war, all he needs it a chain gun and a cigar lol.

  7. I am totally with you on this Darryl I couldn't remember names hence the request for photos and names or I would have posted the same sentiments I was really really really really really really really really really really really moved by Chaz's selflessness
  8. I'm with you Roger, I need a facial recognition system and memory upgrade I would love a photo gallery with faces and names too
  9. Fantastic weekend, thank you Si,Davy,Chaz and all who helped organize the meeting. It was a privilege to meet and spend the weekend with such a great crowd.
  10. I know a good little shop in Belper but you have to watch out for the woman that works there I will bring some Firebird targets, one will go great behind that 8mm target at 75 yards See you all for a good chinwag
  11. Hi all I am sure you have all sorted your night vision systems out by now but here is my latest video on how I do mine, it may help someone just getting into it anyway
  12. ok you are saying this but by the time you pay £145 for a extra IR your back to the NS50 price if not more On the other side you have to pay a lot for a good AV recorder and this set-up has a zoom facility like a camcorder and a focus which are done both by extremal levers rather than having to stick your finger down the tight hole to get to the lens on the Nitesite system. There are those who might not want to shoot at night so they you don't have to buy the IR laser and you can record the footage and the recorder has a mic built in too, so as I say they are not the same and at least th
  13. What I will say it this is better than just a mock-up, you are getting to see something real not a dummy and it is a Prototype remember! The laser is VERY good. Leave judgement until its finished as you are only guessing really. It is a different feel to the Nitesite, some will prefer this, some will stick with the Nitesite. There is a price difference and this one comes with a recorder built in so stop for now guys and when its ready and out there you will be able to decide for your self
  14. Yes I know I have spent a fortune trying out loads of different pellets and as I say JSB at 12ftlbs are perfect in my HW100 though I have tried Weihrauch Field and Target, Daystate FTs and Bisley long range golds, all very good but work out more expensive . As for the RWS that is my first choice for rats , best for accuracy again in my rifle. Another thing with the JSBs is they are very quiet, may sound an odd thing to say but with the HW100 being so quiet its self you can here the pellets go!
