Alright people just postig to get a few peoples opinions on how to run in a new centre fire rifle,i have just bought a 30.06 tika t3 centre fire rifle and was talking to fellow about running in a new rifle and he said (1)clean rifle run 1st round through it (2)clean again run 2nd round through it(3)run 3rd round through it clean again (4) run 4th round through it clean again(5) run 5th round through it clean again and then after 20 rounds pass through it clean tourally every 20 rounds lookin to be educated (thanks in advance)

Alright lads just bought a 30.06 tika t3 and was talking to a fellow about zeroing it in and was told to clean it out first take a shot (2)clean rifle again run 2 rounds through it clean again(3)run 3 bullets through it clean again (4)run fourth bullet through it clean again (5)run fifth bullet through it clean again then after every 20 rounds clean your rifle,just looking for everyone's oppinions on how they run a new rifle in (thank's in advance lad's)

i have been on the net all night tryin to educate myself and all i have been readin about the 243 is its lack of knock down power and listening to lads sayin that they have had a great percentage of runners but then you read that the 243 is deadly accurate im lost A .243 will knock down a Red Stag at 400yards with ease if you put it in the right place...just like any other reasonable round...put a 7mm Rem Mag up a Reds arse and it will walk away!! (perhaps limp away) Larger/more powerful rounds give more tolerance...BUT that was NOT your original question!!! take it handy mat

Hi all new to all this ,just lookin for some honest and helpfull opinions,i currently shoot a 6.5x55 bruno and am thinkin strongly on down grading to a 243 as there is a wide variety of bullets to choose from,but then i was talkin to a mate and he kind of pursuaded me towards buying a 30.06 help needed rapid please
