  1. I've got a beddy whippet grey who will go into the thickest of cover she is smooth coated And seems totally fearless of the thickest cover .This little bitch will go anywhere in pursuit of her quarry she seems to have a very high pain threshold I put this down to the beddlington in her I was told she's from the rillington strain . I have two others that won't go into thick cover ,these two tend to work round it waiting for the break. Does anyone else have a lurcher that works thick cover well .?
  2. Got myself some ferreting permission today the problem is I don't have a ferret ,it's on a golf course in the central belt of Scotland . If anyone fancys a few days out ferreting pm me with your details no numptys please .cheers tommy

Travelled over ninety miles over last few days looking for new permission to no avail the area I travelled to held a descent amount of rabbits by today's standards last year .The whole area has been hit by mixy I couldn't believe the lack of rabbits found a lot of carcasses and seen a lot of culprits who benifetted from it stoats weasels and buzzards came home disheartened three lurchers without work feeling a bit disappointed can't believe how hard it's getting.

Just wondering if anyone works their dogs in forrestry ,there is a massive windfarm near me surrounded by 25 sq mile of forrestry I walk this with my dogs twice a week considering the size of the place it seems very barren.Sometimes you hardley hear a sound there is deer a small amount of hares signs of foxes Ive never seen a rabbit here buzzards everywhere ,for the amount of ground Ive covered my tally is low maybe the area has too much cover who knows? my dogs work it well and had some good catches but wouldnt like to reley on them filling my freezer working this area. Just wondered if anyon
