  1. I caught 18 on the weekend and every doe had young and the mate i was ferreting with reckons hes seen young rabbits about. Its a shame must be global warming
  2. did the rabbits come from the same hole on the other side of the hedge and if you were by yourself and couldnt get to the other side then perhaps you could have give that bury a miss. Might be the ferret next time. rabbits have a habit of bolting from holes not netted perhaps they here no noise outside that hole and therefore use that one. At least you wont make that mistake with this bury again keep your chin up
  3. fantastic action pics how do you get the action shots so clear
  4. Great pictures folks My best is 36 back in the early 1990's - an exceptional day keep them comming
  5. We always caught one or two black rabbits a season in a particular area in Ross but we always let them go because we thought they were bad luck. Did dispatch one on a days ferreting and the van broke down on the way home. good luck
  6. Hi all I have been out of the ferreting game for about two seasons due to work committments during this time my only surving ferret died (she was nine) so i am on the look out for another. I live in the south Wales area and do a lot of my ferreting in the Ross and Hereford areas however having not been in a couple of years i might have to get permission all over again. I am looking forward to reading the posts and joining in any discussions. so good hunting
