  1. Definitely try before you buy. I'va had a rapid for years and I love it but some don't get on with them. The quality is superb if it don't fit, it don't fit.
  2. Good luck fella Contact a rescue centre and see if they can recommend any literature on the subject.
  3. Two days ago I just picked up my first 'working' dog (in commas as it hasn't actually done anything yet). We've always had pet dogs but the wife and the kids kept pestering me for a dog so I got a bitch pup off my friend that breeds border terriers. She won't be an earth dog but will be getting plenty of time in the bushes and after rats (when she's not being dressed up by my two girls or chased around the garden by my boy).
  4. Totally the wrong section, lol.
  5. If my kids learn anything it will be how to catch/shoot a rabbit and how to fish.
  6. I'm still waiting for someone to cross a Bull terrier with a shitzu
  7. All depends mate, pcp or springer, what's your budget (don't forget to budget for a scope and charging gear if it's a pcp, extras), what is your quarry, calibre won't affect the cost of the gun but will affect the cost of ammo a bit.
  8. .177 aT SUB fac ranges the placement of the shot is critical. The smaller calibre allows more margain of error in range finding as it has a flatter trajectory. I've seen 55 yard rabbits drop like a sack of spuds with a well place shot. The only thing I'd change about my rapid is the calibre, that'll happen when I've a few quid to spare. .177 is also less affected by the wind.

  10. Shouldn't be too hard to sort out, probably just an O ring gone somewhere.
  11. What power is it? Looks very much like an eliminator. *edit, looks like a crusader.
  12. I have to be honest I find the amount of sub-sections confusing and unnecessary. I'll do my best to post in the right place though.
  13. I've had both and would choose a TX200hc in .177 any day of the week. Gutted i had to sell mine, totally gutted. They're so much nicer out of the box and when tuned there's very little in it. Also, Weirauch's qulity control on their spring ends has been terrible for the last couple of years.
