  3. Yes you would if they did dock lambs tails they would charge just to look at. them. I think i know what your getting at as farmers can dock their own lambs ( I farmed sheep befor i retired )you use a rubber ring to dock a lambs tail and it has to be put on within 24hrs of birth. Drover
  4. Hell you got a great deal!!! I have two JR done with rear DC removal and it cost me £70!! My vet charges about £10 a pup to dock and take off front dew claws ( never get back dew claws)my present litter of 9 german wire haired pointers cost me £90 ,they are 4 weeks old now and coming on fine , but one vet i went to when the ban first came into force wanted to charge me £25 each pup pluss £20 to micro chip them and would not give me any paper work untill i took them back for docking, some vets just try to rip you off all the time ATB Drover

Hi, I am training two at the moment for blood tracking deer a young bitch 5 months and a young dog just over a year, but they will be only used for deer , because you have let yours hunt freely you might have trouble trying to get him to stick to a blood trail of a wounded deer should you so wish , its just a thought . sounds like your enjoying him anyway they are great dogs best of luck with his traning Drover

Man you live in a dream world , I worked as a professional terrier man for 25yrs and was always busy spring and summer dealing with problem foxes , not a job I enjoyed digging on a hot summers day for fox cubs that can move about small rabbit tubes that even a very small dog cant , hard work but a vixen feeding cubs will often take livestok duing the day and if you kill her you have to deal with the cubs ,cant let them starve to death also deal with the dog fox . I no longer work teriers because my back and knees are knackered ( worked them for 40yrs ) I use a rifle now but miss working the

  11. Yup, that is the problem if you pin them - you can only stand to shoot with them. Sometimes I end up having to sit in a hedge where standing is not practical. I made mine from the same poles that ChrisR used, however for the handles I bought some sponge pipe lagging (you know the stuff that lags your pipes in the loft (£1.45) and cut off two 7 inch lengths (Which leaves plenty spare) Then off to my local dairy farmer who gave me the inner lining tube from one of his teat cups - cut the tubing off next to the bulbous bit, then slid the bulbous bit over both sticks, now have sticks that I c
