would a 17 hmr all closer range deal with foxes maybe with different bullets, what do you think ?

what gun would be suitable for less than 150 yards fox shooting and rabbiting and also ammunition to go along with it

if so because it would require little security (i thinks its called level 1) would it need to be fastened to any walls

thanks for your attention, i have hunted now for a couple of years now with rifles and due to the recent passing of my collie i am looking for a new dog to be company for my Airedale. i am thinking about getting a purebred Bedlington terrier , i have been lurchering a couple of times with my mates and enjoyed it. will a purebred be okay. thanks rgeards declan
