  1. Vortex Binoculars

I've got some 10x42 vortex diamondbacks. Great glass, I've really enjoyed using them last season, they are clear and didn't fog up in the cold november archery season. I'd recommend them to anyone. The only thing I didn't like about them is the eyecups keep falling down when I want them up. I may put a zip tie under them to hold them up.
  2. Nv Recommendations

I have used the ATV gen 1 rifle scope with the IR thing on top for when it is pitch black..and your right when it is pitch black you can not see that good but the IR helps a lot!
  3. Nipped out to an old 13 acre pea field at lunchtime today only to find two tractors drilling wheat and rolling the surface. A few birds where around and of the 13 I shot, 5 where youngsters without neck bars. Hopefully the local woodpigeons and corvids will find the spilt seed and the last few remaining peas and we can have some good sport for a couple of weeks. Then home to dinner cooked by my son.
  4. I use a 1" nylon strap. A loop is wonderful thing for target shooting, but getting into one takes too long for hunting and a properly executed hasty sling hold is very steady. I use a couple of long beads of silicone seal on the inside surface in the appropriate area to keep it from slipping off the shoulder while carrying.
