  1. no misty not one a day but rarly less then 4 a hunt and i hunt two to three times a week, if it adds up to one a day from six months onwards im not suprissed theres stags here that are well on to there thousands at 3 and 4 years of age, i feel sorry for the lack of hunting you poeple have but its good to see appricate it so much that you struggle to belive whats behond your tiny island, i dig proberly about 9 out of ten you might even call him a "5 minute wonder" but hes obviously consideralby better then anything you own because with one dog i can get 5 foxes in a day while it takes you 5 dif
  2. above ground from 6 months below from ten, he proberly has 800, i dont keep count, but when i go away for a weekend and am catching on average 5-20 foxesa dn 2-3 a week and half are directly from him you figure it out, iv never once lost a fox because he comes out of holes dont know how you came up with that, in fact iv got more because undiggable foxes have the chance to bolt to the staghounds, feel free not to belive me i know what i catch and have nothing to gian from lying, if your jealouse that i catch more foxes in a weekend then you do in a year keep it to your self, just remember one t
  3. ya cheers that dog would have over 200 dug foxes to his name now probelry just under 3 years old add that many agian if want to inculde above ground, he dosent work the way you poms like he come out every hour which is perfect because i can shove him in rock den under concret houses and in the side of cliffs without fear hed be dead ten times over if he didnt know how to come out he also knows when to back off i once dug 20 foxes out in a fortnight and althoguh he needed rest after that he was still ready for hisnext , in other words a smart dogs worth ten tough ones
  4. heard there abit soft bailers not luggers on pigs , dont imagen a half cross being very quick or very tough, hardy dogs with good noses but
  5. plenty over here nice dogs heavy duty things dont breack easy with good noses go all day but i wouldnt call them fast

  7. ya iv kept every dog iv ever owned.......for atleast a day or two
  8. white dog would be better wouldnt it easyier to distguish between fox and terrier
  9. i like a tial you can se them in long grass and read what there thinking a little better

  11. i doubt iv missed half a dozen hares under the lamp my whole life and yet in the day iv proberly only caught a couple dozen, lamping a joke when it comes to hares, they can still move its not as if they only have three legs at night but they make mistakes and alot of them
  12. ya iv never even seen a snake up north in the places i hunt around the desart and deni but it's real dry alot worse on the coast, used to run into a heap when i hunted with old archi near you but he never bothered putting the dogs away, i am vigilent but a have a good look at a hole befor putting a dog near it, i just couldnt imagen not hunting for that long but, geuss i could run stags at night hate to lose a good dog, that pups a ripper, hunting well keeps up like its been doing it all its life climbed a nice steep bank of an old tip that me and the other dogs struggled up, the top of bows
  13. nah ya just cope it sweet if you hunt in the summer you have to be able to deal with the consiquences, it's rear that a dogs biten but iv been dodgeing them them for years and keep an eye out but the dogs just seem to know not to go near them, never had a dog biten while hunting nor heard of one, its when there on chians or pens when it seems to happen
