  1. Thanks for all the advice guys, once the Christmas madness has died down I'm aiming to get out there and give them a try.
  2. I don't think tide times are an issue here in Shropshire. If they were, most of England would be in severe trouble!! :-) I think Slippers on about inland decoying. True what you say on the coast though. have you no advice for him or are you just going to sit back and have ago at them that try I'm not having a go - just having a little laugh, that's why there's a smiley face in the post. Jeez, sensitive souls on here! To keep you happy Leslie here goes; If there's no cover nearby as you say, I would take a foam camping mat (preferably green) and a cam net. Lie on the mat close to

  4. Thanks Toby and Hydro, I'll give them a try then. Its new to me as I never have cartridges long enough to get corroded!
  5. Hi, I'm after some advice. I've been given some boxes of non-toxic shotgun cartridges ( a mix of steel, bismuth and tungsten matrix) by an elderly neighbour of mine who feels he isn't likely to use them. I suspect he may have had these for some time as many of the cartridges have bits of corrosion/rust on the brass caps. My question is are they still safe to use or are they likely to cause problems? Should I try to rub the corrosion off with sandpaper? Given the price of non-toxic shot I'd rather keep and use them. Sorry for the quality of the pics, my phone didn't want to play.
  6. Greetings from Shropshire! I've just discovered this forum and its great to be a part of it. My main interest is duck & goose shooting but a bit of pigeon decoying doesn't go amiss either! Hope the seasons going well for you all.
