I always bury the foxes. Not only so that they are out of sight but also out of respect for the foxes.

I've shot de v-max 50 grain witch 40,5gr hodgdon h380 from a remington 700 vls. Shot very tight groups.

It's personal that's all. I've been shooting with 22-250 for some years nog and i'm very happy with it. Reload them myself and it al works very well so it's just been great fun for me. My friend shoots with .243. I think that's a great one also.. But once you stick to something.. If you ask me.. There are now bad kalibers, only bad shooters...

Here in the netherlands the young cubs are just outside the dens. I gues they are a bit later then in uk. My colleage from the uk told me last week that they shot some cubs that where half grown allready so there's a bit difference with the netherlands. Get home on friday from my offshore trip so i'll be going foxing regulary. Report it here.

Hi there. So i'm from the netherlands and an active fox hunter. In the netherlands we can shoot foxes all year round witch can be a bittle of a discussion oint because of the young foxes, but allright. Here the young foxes are just starting to take a look outside the den and I was wondering if there's a great difference with the uk in that. Are the youngsters older in the uk or is it the same as in the netherlands? I heard stories from a colleage off mine that's from the uk that they have shoot big young foxes allready over there. (half grown or how you call it?).. How is it at yo

Just a short introduction from my side. I'm a 39 years old "gamekeeper" from the Netherlands. My passion is all about hunting, especially hunting foxes. This is what I do most of the time that i’s out. At the moment I’m shooting a Remington 700 in 22-250 topped with a Zeiss and reload it with Lapua brass, sierra blitzking 50 grain, filled with H380. This is my absolute favourite as it shoots very tight groups and performs very good when shooting anything from the size of rats to the size of roe deer. Currently I’m looking to buy me a Blaser r8 in the same calibre.
