  1. He is certainly the size of a peruvian but as there aren't many breeders in the uk i'm not sure he is. The guy that I bought him from certainly didn't have any but he was in an aviary on his own and I didn't pay peruvian prices for him.
  2. Well yesterday was the day Merlin came off the creance for the first time weighing in at a scale busting 1lb 1oz!! Up until yesterday I haven't shown or used a dummy bunny with him as he has been quite nervous through training but thought I would get it out for him while he was flying tree to tree. No sooner had I started pulling the dummy out of the tree he came like a missile and hit it no hesitation .I couldn't be more pleased with the way he has turned out. Now to get him entered and off to a good start. I'll try and get some picture of him tomorrow.
  3. yeah ive tried gumtree and the ones ive been to see would only home to someone that was not going to work them as they thought it was a bad thing and ferrets shouldnt be worked!! ferrets are bred to work not to be pets but hey what do I know ive only been working ferrets for 15 yrs lol
  4. Afternoon all, I'm after a couple of ferrets in the North east/Borders area for working with my hawks, has anybody got any available or know of any in that area for sale? I don't mind hobs or Jills. Thanks in advance Dave
  5. I'm flying a FHH this is her second season and I have just picked up a very small MHH, he is currently flying at 1lb 2oz.
  6. Good start to the season pal, lovely looking pup too.
  7. I started my FHH a couple of weeks ago but have only managed a couple of rabbits with the cover being so thick but its dying down slowly. She has had some good flights on Pheasant but no connection.
  8. Morning all, Stumbled across the forum this morning and it looks great so I thought I would give it a go. I'm currently living in the wooler area of Northumberland and flying a male and female Harris Hawk. I used to be heavily into my running dogs in my 20's but fell in love with falconry and have been doing it ever since. Hopefully I can contribute something to the forum. Thanks for reading Dave
