  1. It is said up to 200mt but as my pal has had little chance to really test it, I had a play out from my patio across the field which is 130mt and on low ir power level, it was okay for eye shine, with the middle power level quite decent level of detail and at high power level, high level of detail and I would have thought that this will be fine out to 150-170mts but because it is so light, adding an extra ir torch such as a tracer or similar, you would have plenty of light without much weight reaching in excess of 200mts but that is for another night when we take it out to run some more tests.
  2. To much like hard work, I will stick to my air cylinders. Phil
  3. £1200 is not exactly a great deal in my eyes Phil
  4. Posted in the wrong section matey, you need to post in the sales section. Phil
  5. I must admit that my sub 12 and fac air rifles are very pronounced grips which has set a standard that I am very comfortable with. Phil
  6. I admire your taste, If I were shooting in daylight, that is a rifle that would sit nicely in my cabinet and not too far away from my thoughts when/if I go for an hmr as that will be a laminated GRS stock if possible. Phil
  7. You are absolutely right Mitch, there are so many things spouted about new guns and as you said the 110 is a case in point. Who knows what is wrong if anything with the 457 and if you consider how many CZ rifles there are out in the market along with the reputation they have, it is hard to see anything being serious, perhaps the price is the issue as it is more expensive than CZ buyers are used to. I didn't buy it because I was not keen on the handling in the shoulder but that is me but cannot knock the looks as they are really nice. I am the first to say that the Tikka would have better
  8. I must admit that after trying a couple of the cold treatments many years ago and found them to be totally useless, I have not tried again but I have been told that Hoppes produce a treatment which apparently works well although I have no direct knowledge myself. The downside to this is that it is very hard to get hold of but if you want to try, Edgar Brothers are the importer and it was priced about £23 if I remember correctly. Here is the link:- https://www.shootingsports.edgarbrothers.com/pages/Gun-Blue-Kit.aspx Phil
  9. It will be interesting what will happen with the 457 after Edgar Brothers have requested CZ to produce more 455 for them. Is it that they have not proved to be as good as the 455, quality issues or general dislike by us the customers. Whatever, there is something and I am not trying to put you off Mitch but the rfd who told me that is a big dealer of rifles, way way more rifles than shot guns and airguns and they get through a great many CZ guns and if he says EB have requested 455 to be continued, there must be a reason. Phil
  10. I just came across the Holland Game Getter series of scopes which are somewhat more expensive than the average Hawke / MTC scope and whilst clearly designed for hunting deer, it has some interesting features which I will have a closer look at when time allows but for the time being I have posted the info for you lot to browse. It is a case of whether this scope can be used for bunny shooting AND making use of the reticle in our application, perhaps or pehaps not but testers of 'Hard Air' were using one on the new FX Wildcat .30 which is what made me think that perhaps there may be some way of
  11. Just picked this up from 'Hard Air' regarding the launch of .25 Hades so I am pretty sure mole trapper that you are mistaken. https://hardairmagazine.com/news/ham-exclusive-new-25-cal-jsb-hades-pellets-first-look/?utm_source=Hard+Air+Magazine+Subscription&utm_campaign=70a0eef7e4-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2016_12_31_COPY_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_c48f609679-70a0eef7e4-130385445 Phil
  12. I believe nv is a different league all together but that is my opinion. Phil
  13. So there some tight barstewards on the South Coast as well then Mitch. If you like it and can't get a deal, buy it and cry all the way home but at least you will have it the next day and you will have forgotten the price you paid. ? Phil
  14. I do like the ability of the lrf to hold multiple zero points and picture in picture which can be done as said with certain downloads but I wonder if there have been any issues in doing this process. I should say that I don't own one YET but will do soon. Phil
  15. Yes I agree Mitch, they are nice but around £330 for the adjustable stock and they list the Tikka T3 but not T3x/T1x, don't know if that makes a difference however the GRS still has it for me. Phil
  16. I will definately try them Mitch as the tests done by Ted in the US proved to be very successful so well worth a go. Phil
  17. Hre you go Stavross. You can stick with the standard pistol grip design in another colour if you prefer. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TIKKA-T3X-T1X-COYOTE-BROWN-GRIPS-FORENDS/264401081566?var=564029742191 Sean. I may well try to alter the trigger pressure but it feels lighter than 4lb, that is bloody heavy, I will test that with some scales to check it out and if it is 4lb, I will reduce it a little. Phil
  18. I bought a Tikka T1x .22lr a few weeks ago and in between the heavy rain showers, I have been trying out a few different types of ammo BUT the one thing that has been in my thoughts was the position of my hand on the pistol grip which was not quite at the angle that I found completely comfortable. Now the thought of a GRS stock seemed a good move after looking at one in the RFD but at a price. Now this is on back burner at the moment although I have found a s/h one which may be suitable but nevertheless I wanted to try the alternative grip and forend that can be purchased for the T1x / T3x and
  19. These might be worth a try Jimmy as a half way house. https://voymir.com/hn-22/338-hn-rabbit-magnum-ii-airgun-pellets-cal-22-550mm-200pcs-4047058011578.html https://voymir.com/hn-22/426-hn-piledriver-airgun-pellets-cal-22-550mm-150pcs-4047058018492.html I tried the Grizzly pellet/slug in my Impact but with a 4'' group at 25mt, goodness knows what the group size would be at 50mt or further and looking at Voymir's site they do not list them in .22 with is a pity as they would be interesting to try at sub 12 levels. https://voymir.com/hn-25/370-hn-grizzly-airgun-pellets-cal-25
  20. Oh that is so cutting Mitch................................the truth can be so hurtfull ? Phil
  21. Must admit Si, I cannot get my head around an external twist, how the hell can that work. As you know, I am a big FX fan and possibly the first on here to get an Impact but as much as I take on board all the superb technical break throughs that Fredrick has done with his company, this one has lost me (not difficult I hear you say). Perhaps one day it can be explained to me. Phil
  22. The lenses arrived this morning to my friends house along with his new Pard 008. He brought both round for me to set up and I can tell you Gav, the lenses worked a treat. For me, number 3 was perfect but for my friend number one and two together seemed better but that is just the difference between our eyes. From my patio, it is 135mt to the trees at the other side of the field and in both day and night mode we had a sharp image with me being able to see the thin wire running along the field edge and the leaves on the trees / weeds. I think we may be popping out tonight or tomorrow to tes
  23. Ahh brilliant Mitch, thanks. Phil
  24. Thanks Graham but at this moment I will decline thanks, other things on the shopping list and as my wife and myself only use 12 gauge, not really suited but thanks anyway. Phil
