  1. there just kids , no point in takin libertys with a child Good for getting your dogs back ....Again as said before,..kids live with parents, and parents should take some responsibility what their kids are up to...did these parents not notice new pups around the house??? Cheers Eggy
  2. Again, good on you for taking the dog back and looking after him now...However IF the culprit is just a Kid (<16), the parents should be the ones to blame (name & shame) and prosecuted....They are ultimatly responsible for the dogs, and teaching this kid about proper animal care etc....If they cannot even do that, they shouldn't have had kids, or the kids should have been taken away from this scum (parents) and taken into foster homes I guess that's whats so wrong with our society today & why we see so much associal youths/ young criminals (under 16)....No-one claims responsibil
  3. !!!!Shocking!!!!...Name and shame the sick b*****d who starved/mistreated this dog..Shouldn't be allowed to ever own any dogs/pets!....It's people like that who gove lurchermen a bad name Good on you for taking the dog back and feeding hime back to his old self Cheers Eggy
  4. These are my two mutts My 4 year old 1/2 Collie/Grey...23" The 1 year old pup, she's 1/4 collie, 1/8 saluki, 1/8 deerhound, 1/2 grey....25" Cheers Eggy
  5. With slightly larger/medium dogs (ie ~24") I would say about a year (depending on maturity)....Deerh crosses a lot longer.......But ferreting is always a good way of introducing a youngish dog (6 months) to the scene. Don't expect miracles in the 1st 2 years Cheers Eggy
  6. Ok, but if it hasn't crossed your mind why would you say the above All the best with the rabbit control Cheers Eggy
  7. .......And face a criminal conviction of tresspass with a firearm if you don't have the permission to use your rifle without the landowner concent or in a public space (Your sub 12 ft/lbs air-rifle becomes a firearm under law once it is criminally used in tresspassing/use in public etc.) there is a mandatory 5 year jail term for this (but you'll still have a job in jail as a cell-block tour-mentor for new inmates)... I would think twice about taking you air-rifle out without permission, and saying you didn't know is NOT an excuse by law! Also remember that the users of the allotmen

Just a couple Dogs Cats Of insects I hate horseflies most Rabbit Rat Muskrat Ferret Mole Turtle (not a snapper turtle) Cheers Eggy
  11. I've got a 1st Greyxcollie (3 1/2 now)...Brilliant catch dog, massive prey drive, very obedient, but can be very very sensitive and require a LOT of work (training) to keep 'em happy. I'd strongly advise you to not to get 2 pups at the same time of this breed 1 at a time is more than enough Cheers Eggy
  12. Thats what you call a close shave Cheers Eggy
  13. Let it thaw out completely...Raw (especially frozen to kill parasites) is good grub for the dogs Cheers Eggy
  14. In general the beam of these ones are too wide for the bigger fields (OK for small ones) + they don't last very long (20mins). If you want to do the cheap option (i've done this) get a set of high WhA 6V batteries set (2x), solder it so they are parallel wired (2 batts on the hip+carrier) and rip the internal one out, so you can lamp to your harts content (in small fields!!!) But really if you're serious the real-deal ls a lightforce 170 or clulite & worth the money! Cheers Eggy
