I bred one ,I owned both parents who were good dogs in their own right .I kept back two ,a bitch & dog ,the bitch was small about 21 inches and the dog made 26.I had to put down the bitch at a year old due to liver problems & the dog lasted till he was about 3 ,when he snapped his neck at a rabbit hole .What I found was he was faster over longer ground than my straight whippets but could turn quicker than a greyhound .He was one of the best dogs I've owned ,he had the heart of a lion ,speed of a rocket and the strike of a snake ,he was a sight to behold in full flight .RIP whip

One thing I've noticed ,some think more about their dogs diet than they do their own ,? and unless you are working a dog so hard that it gets the wobbles most dogs will do well in most stuff. Quite rightly ,we all want to right by our dogs ,but I think you can become obsessed. Feed the best you can afford , and go by eye if they look good you ain't doing much wrong.

Here in Ireland I would say that 100% of every terrier registered by the IKC was either a worker or it's parents were if you asked the owner. If you asked the owner of every working terrier in Ireland was their terrier K.C. registered 0% would say yes ,although some might hit you with a shovel, but you'd deserve that for asking such a question.
