Out with the HW100 last night to thin some barn doves out and have a go at some rats as well. Shooting the doves was pure control.. you couldn’t call it sport as the helpless buggers were like cans on a wall and I had 10 on the floor in two minutes, followed by another 6 shortly after. Picking the buggers around lumbering cattle in the barn wasn’t much fun but they couldn’t be left there. Next... rats.... had every intention of a bag shot but the floor was like poo-soup so they could bloody stay where they fell! Had a few on the run and probably had a dozen in total.7 points

Hi mate. These dogs aren't allowed in some regions here (mine is one of them). It really is a political issue. Let's just say that in the last elections Walt Disney was able to put a politician in many local governments. Since banning hunting was completely out of reach, a couple of accidents involving cattle and dogos were the perfect excuse for these guys to ban their use here. Trekkers, bikers, mushroom recollecters and such also put pressure to make this ban effective so, from last season, dogs with wide chests and block heads are not allowed for hunting. Hopefully this will chan5 points

Corbyn has said on the Andrew Mar show when labour come to power it will immediately buy 8000 houses to give to the homeless . ..and all the homeless will be given homes ! ...that’s 15000 at present levels ..Wait till they hear this in the far away lands , with a possible two year Brexit deal which will include free movement anyone in close proximity to the gates should stand well back least their trampled ... Anyway that’s another 15000 ( at present levels) votes in the bag ...who’s next for a handout ....4 points

Late start this morning only local so after waking young jack up and having a bit of breakfast we headed off..( had to be back for family lunch ?) we had Gwen my 5 year old lurcher a young hob that’s had a decent first season and a young Jill that Flacko had kindly given us after we’d lost our Jill .. I’d had this Jill out last weekend and she did well bolting some stubborn rabbits.. collared the Jill up and in no time we’d got a couple in the nets..so far so good she’s soon took to her job and we couldn’t be happier with her .. next spot was tricky to net but we did our best and aga4 points

In theory it's a good idea.....but in practice we don't have, and could never build enough houses to house the people we already have, never mind the ones corbyn wants to let in. The majority of people who are homeless are there because of numerous issues, drugs and alcohol being the main ones. Helping homeless people is difficult, support is there but they get one step on the ladder then two back.....its difficult and frustrating. You would also have thousands of migrants who don't speak English living in hostels and bnbs who would qualify. Iv worked (tried) in the accommodation of thes4 points

decent post, the stamina thing also helps with recovery, and the ability to catch several animals one after another off one slip, I like a lot of saluki in my crosses, but for most lads doing general lurcher stuff quarter is plenty when the rest is lurcher, the modern line bred coursing dogs are almost pure saluki in percentage terms, though very different in reality.4 points

After not getting out for a good few weeks we went this morning with the forecast saying light rain, once we got sorted out we set off, due to the rain and wind very little was above ground so I had to once again relay on my canine partner to find the action, it wasn’t long before she was hypnotised by the scent of a bunny or two below ground, that was all I needed to get the nets set and two of my albino kits sent into battle, number one was a hole hopper, so I sent another ferret right in behind him quickly, it bolted like a train, number two was pulled out of a hole, lurcher on one end ferr3 points

These posts are spaced out a bit because I have to find an evening when I am not doing anything important the next day. I feel like i have been up all night...yawn.. As it was, I was out between 11.30pm and 2am and it felt really cold. I had put up a wind break and was sat on a dry pallet but it wasn't exactly comfy. There have been a few more holes round the 'safe house' in the duck run. The safe house is a square shed, with a run attached to the back. So far rats can't get in to the run as it has a wire mesh base, I put the soil back on top of it. But you can see where they h3 points

I don't think it's more likely, it's just what's available, Scottish wildcats like many others are quite a solitary animal until mating time so when it goes looking for a shag it don't care what colour pyjamas the girl is wearing, like any males of many species any holes a goal and as there are hundreds more feral/domestic types than pure breeds it's more likely to just breed itself out over a period of time, the experts claim there are less than 100 pure wildcats left so the chances of 2 pure ones meeting are rather slim especially when many farms up there are crawling alive with ferals that3 points

First thing I always do, is to flush the wound out with Hibiscrub,...get everything clean and pink,.let the dog see the rabbit kinda thing,.. then, you have to make the decision as to whether your needle will be adequate, or you need the services of an experienced hand. As hunting men,...(well, in my case, a former hunting man ) it is essential to seek out Veterinary Surgeons that have a penchant towards the running dog,..most vets can throw a reasonable stitch, but a knowledgeable eye is always better. I've got a bitch here at the moment that I've been blistering and resting up, for q3 points
