I have a blitz variable at the moment but i think it is far to big. I want a smaller lamp for next season. Are there any small (like big pocket sized) lamps in variables about and are they any good?

You can just change the lamp lens holder, all the handles are the same.
So just buy a striker lens case, and 50w bulb, then put them on your variable blitz handle.

I can lamp a fox at 400 + yards (not to shoot at.....before the arguments start) with my 140 lance.. A good lamp in my opinion. Especially if you can get the wiring to work....................... :icon_redface:
Never had the need for any more!

For very close range, I use a tracer max off my rifle, but hand held. Also a good little lamp up to the 200 yard mark. And very light..

i use the trace max, found it a good lamp but not too good if the dogs go a distance, any one know if you can modify this lamp?

ive used a deben gun lamp with handheld converter kit with exceptional results and well worth the low price range ( under £70 for lamp , converter and battery pack ) easily as good as the lancer , well better id say , and on par with the striker for distance? the battery doesnt last a full season imo , fades after 2 hrs , but first few weeks i was getting nearly 4 hrs on a single charge

im now looking at the stuff on ebay though a lamp on there , £39.00 with red filter , 400 mtr beam 3.5 million candlepower??? anyone tried this???

I've just got a lightforce 140 Lance, took it out last might and was very impressed. ;)

You can buy a 140/170 reflector to go on your blitz, BTW, save buying a whole new set up. ;)
