just after some advice on cameraa settings

my camera is a fujifilm finepicx
10.7 optical zoom
has a button at the top with the following on it
auto
a man wi wiggly lines round him
p
s
a
m
sp
n
a head
an a sharp pointy thing

and then on the side its a button with
af
c
s
mf

i have no clue what any of these mean and im struggling for clear shots at range yet if i move the second swith it goes clear but then goes off,,can anyone tell me the best settings please

Um... read the manual?

If you don't have a manual for it you can probably find one online - google is your friend :)

I suspect the top button is for the basic camera settings - the head symbol is probably for portraits, auto is self-explanatory, m might be for manual, where you have to set everything yourself.

The button on the side... probably for focus? af may be autofocus, mf manual focus? Just guessing as I don't know your camera, but I'd suggest setting everything to "auto" for now.

no idea as its not a make i am familiar with :) however if you read the manual it came with, all should be clear....and if you dont have the manual get one here
