I'm not surprised Mr Harford has'nt been back on with a reply to the posts on this thread  If I'm correct? he may have posted a similar thread a number a number of years ago, on Smoochers forum when the Midland was earlier criticised!! He must think the best form of defence is to attack :gunsmilie: when the critics start to voice an opinion? and when the flak is returned he gives up on the debate? The real moral of the story is he could'nt give a feck about you, as!! long as there's money coming through the gates at the Midland :censored:

That's it, in a nutshell, Tom.

They're fleecing the public and with record attendances, paying record prices, why would they want to hear the critics?

Best thing people can do is not go.

I would take Mr Hartford's momentary interest in the T&L community as a go at pacifying Tracy Allen and the CMW, the T&L community have become the black sheep at the midland it seem. as Ive said before if they dint want the championships take them away ,now . there should be in future , ENGLISH , WELSH, SCOTTISH, NORTHERN IRISH, EIRE ,CHAMPIONSHIPS CULMINATING IN 5 NATIONS GRAND FINALS , , THE COUNTRYMAN'S FIVE NATIONS CHAMPIONSHIPS, THE SHOWS ARE THERE , THE WELSH GAME FARE , THE EARTH DOG RUNNING DOG , SCONE PALACE, AND THE BIG GAME FAIR IN NORTH AND SOUTH IRELAND , THE INTEREST IS THERE JUST NEEDS PUTTING TOGETHER

There's no interest by the organisers at Scone Palace in respect of showing lurchers :censored: there has been no lurchers at Scone for a number of years an d its unlikely there ever will be, There's a new show being launched next year by The Scottish Association for Countrysports, and I'll be running the Lurcher and terrier show with the help of members

Thank you all for your feedback on the Countryman’s Weekly Champion of Champions, and the Terrier and Lurcher events at this year’s Midland Game Fair.

Along with your feedback we have also received feedback directly into our office and that of the Countryman’s Weekly office. Following this we have undertaken a consultation period with the Coursing Crew and Countryman’s Weekly. We will now be conducting a poll through Countryman’s Weekly to ask other Terrier and Lurcher enthusiasts what they would like from the Midland Game Fair. This will be run in the 5th of November issue.

The feedback we receive will give us a greater understanding of the expectations that the wider terrier and lurcher community have of the Midland Game Fair. This will ensure we represent a majority of the community to the best standards possible and the Midland Game Fair remains the premier event for all field sports enthusiasts.

We will publish the results of the feedback in the December 10th Issue of Countryman’s Weekly and through our website at www.countrymanfairs.co.uk.

Once again thank you all for your comments.

when at most shows you may as well pull your own pants down after entering the gates, the trouble is they charge the food pitches at such a rate they pass that on to the buyer,i bought a bacon roll at 9 am and they had allready run out of ketchup, thats taking the piss,no ketchup in a bacon roll.also if you camp you have to buy a weekend pass, and 60 pound for a pitch,it cost me about about 250,300 quid for a day for 2 of us (including diesel)and did nt buy that much, just no atmosphere around the lurcher ring.

I wonder how many people actually filled in this poll in the CMW? and did they have to cover the cost of postage and envelopes themselves to register their opinions? Seems a pointless exercise to me, spending a couple of quid on a magazine to get copy off the poll and then using your own cash too tell someone where they went wrong!! especially with the amount of comments and views that where made here by people who actually attended the show, I'd bet a penny to a pound of shit, that the vast majority of CMW readers did'nt even attend the Midland and many who did don't buy the CMW
