Nice going Richie - that looks a really tidy job. Very solid and very clean lines.

Is that an access slot in the roof ? or a baiting access ?

Is the frame construction the same as we did on the larsen ? The joints look the same - uprights set into the rails.

hi john... yes, the construction is based on the same idea as the larsen, makes it a stronger structure.

as for the slot on the roof, i can just about squeeze my arm through it to get to the bait tray & if need be, ican reach around the whole trap.

just thought it would be a good idea to put it there. i can always put a piece of mesh to cover it if i make no use of it.

ahhhh i see the bait.. just asked about what bait, in the vid post...

i'm not knocking a great result. but....... would a natural floor be better that mesh...??? and from a townie... how do you remove your catch...????

do you shoot, or do you grab n flap....?????

thanks.

A really well made trap that............looks the business.

I prefer the much shorter height design.........it is so much easier to remove the trapped birds and i can stack a few in the van as they take up so little room.

i agree with you, i should of made the height less, got a bit carried away. luckily i can still reach my arm inside.

Nice one, I wonder if a funnel would work as well.

120-2

do you mean to help guide it in ?

when i recorded this footage for test purposes only, i was only 4 metres away from the trap laying next to my mrs sunbathing on the lawn.

he walked round a few times & thought about going in, wasnt to sure at first but his belly got the better of him.
