Has anyone had a Lada Cossack, as a shooting vehicle, I must admit to liking the look of them.. be interested to hear if anyone uses one.

Am I right in thinking that the early one's don't have power steering.. I assume the later models do ?

I still have 2 sitting in the garden, I can't bring myself to get rid of them one will have to go though. :(

I like them more than my toyota for offroading but the just aren't big enough for the kids and the dogs. I've seen mine get where a defender 110 couldn't in snow.

As for parts, no problems getting parts at Lada.co.uk. They are so simple to work on with real basic tool kit. I'd stay away from the 1.6s go for the 17i they are leagues apart.

Only the LHD imports have PAS.

Mate of mine had one 25 years ago and it was indestructable. The first real offroader about that wasn't a Landie.
