Hello All,

On my previous post I mentioned about Altberg Boots, no reply.

Can anyone recommend a good beating/shooting high leg boot, I am not one for wellingtons. Don't mind paying a bit for them , as long has they are good boots.

Any advice welcome

John...

Ive tried several manufacturers Gaoler, however, keep going back to Meindl boots

Hi legs are the Meindle Douvre Extreme's, and the Mid boots are the Meindl Borneo MFS, both boots have lasted me fine and fit great straight out the box.

Plenty of digging in them and they have lasted fine so far, well worth the £££'s

Best to try as many as you can though, fit is the most important

I have tried loads of boots but keep going back to Meindls i have a pair of Glockners that have done 4 grouse seasons plus wearing them most days and are still going strong they hjave a really solid sole so are great for digging and also have a pair of Douvres that have given no problems so far. The antarktikas are also a really good boot especially for colder weather. Le Chameaus are soft as f**k they fall to bits with hard use.
