I was just wondering if ordinary multi-vitamins for humans can be given to dogs without any adverse effect's? :hmm:

Not a good idea.
If the dog is getting decent food it shouldn't need any supplements.
Multi vitamins for humans are exactly that FOR HUMANS........
Most multi vits contain iron (for example) which can cause big problems for dogs, also remember that initially there may be no observable side effects, but over time the ingredients could build up in the dog.
Vitamins C, A, B6 and D can all cause toxicity in dogs.
So once again, NO, not a good idea.

I use SA 37 which I've been told has been discontinued now? I've still got a tub of it left so I use that but when that goes I'll be looking for something similar.

Try this mate, its a replacement for SA 37 >>> SF50 Powder <<<

Didn't say they don't need iron.
Too much iron can cause problems (as well as too little).
I also said that given a decent diet dogs shouldn't need supplements

If a dog is getting a balenced diet it will get all the vit and mins it needs and if it needs iron suppliments then it has a very poor diet indeed.
