yes i know i only take photos of deer & swans but i had to put these on here , what a superb morning i have had following these beautifull unpredictable creatures , makes it worth getting up

I am pretty sure theres some rutting going on as i am sure i saw 2 stags today & only got pics of 1 of them, one of them was making that sound they make  got close up as i dared given the size of the things , pics not the best quality but given the conditions i had to endure there okish

Hope you enjoy looking at them as i have got to have walked 5 miles today & am tired , knackered & a bit battered, but it was worth it

I missed the photo of a lifetime by a gnats cock of 2 doe's jumping in the pond & swimming a little way , never seen anything like it , just wasnt quick enough to even get a blurry photo of it, still theres always tomorrow

Just a few more

is this a woodpecker ?

I was sat in the middle of this road a way back & i was hoping to get the herd to jump the fence but only this one did , the sun was to the side of me so the pics not good, thats one of the deer that went in the pond as its still wet

Nice pics, Kay, as always :)

And yes, that is a Greater Spotted Woodpecker, a frequent visitor to our peanuts.

Edit: Damn, Sean beat me, doesn't matter though, I know what it is, he took 36 minutes, so meh! *runs off to cry* :D
