squirel control when does everyone start shoting the old greys?

Wait till after game sooting season is over. A nice cold Feb morning is best then it's dray poking time!!! :clapper:
More fun than any other shooting IMO. Every year we get around 50 head. :D

all the time in my garden! my live traps are working well. i spotted one poking around the hen house the other day, set a trap there and next day had a squirrel!

Still not eaten one yet, get them skinned and gutted then just don't fancy them.

i eat all squirrels. last one i had i skinned and gutted and wanted a reall quick meal for one so i covered it in BBQ sauce and shoved it in the oven :icon_redface: it was delicous. i won't kill something if i cant eat it (with the exception of rats and feral of course :laugh: )

had my fisrt squirrel hun of the year yesterday! :D

god their hard to skin! came home with a pocket full of hazel nuts too so ill be trying to do some thing with the squirrels and nut later!

Are they more tasty Jan/Feb after they've got fat on the maize. Certainly a lot fater.
