Seen these on quite a large tree it looked a bit like a pine tree of some sort, does anybody know what they are and if there edible.

Sorry, I can't tell you what they are, however being on an evergreen makes me think that they're not edible. I have came across them before, unfortunately I can't remember for the life of me what the tree was called, but in my opinion, until someone more knowledgeable comes along, don't eat.

Yes they are Yew berries, poisonous seeds but the berry is edible.

Ive googled ''yew tree berries'' and Im pretty certain thats what they are, thanks for your replies I wont bother eating them.

the berry is the only part of the tree that isnt poisonous as said though the SEEDS ARE POSIONOUS the fruit is very sweet and well worth trying
