help needed pup scratching

hi all got a new pup its a racing whippet that i intend to work also hes 7 weeks old went to look at him at 5weeks saw mother top breeding but what a state fleaed up anyway ive hadhim 2weeks now i had to rescue him ,he s on good grub and babymilk to try to boost him up wormed him defleaed him wha t a mess poor bugger ,he is scatching alot still to a point he losing his fur and deveoping small sores on the skin he also has some type of dandruff flaky skin in his fur ,some one said it could be a reaction to the milk as i was giving him evaporated milk too to fatten him up which i have stopped now .he s a geat pup just need to sort him out or will it be a vet job££££££££££ help atb BB

vets mate ...skin problems could be anything from allergy to mange or worse

get some benzo benzacoate on him that will sort out any mite problems , feed him plenty of raw meat ie ox hearts etc that will bring him on and tripe i know it stinks but he ll love it

Cut the milk out and just feed him a good brand of puppy food supplemented with raw beef bones.Then bath him in a medicated shampoo for dogs.It sounds like a reaction from either the fleas or the milk.atb dell

THANKS FOR ALL THE REPLY S CHAPS IVE STOPPED MILK GONNA TRY THE SHAMPOO JUST BEEN OUT AND GOT SOME THOUGHT I WOULD START AT THE CHEAP END 1ST BUT IF IT DOES NT WORK VETS, GONNA TRY THE SCABIES STUFF TOO CHEERS ATB BB

not being funny mate but it may be the ceapest option to go to the vets and get sorted what it is. if sarcoptes mites they can also infect humans.
if youknow what it is you can treat it quickly and effectivly.

A seven week old pup thats had a bad start needs to see a vet also dont know how good your worming was again check with vet its to easy to lose a pup get it sorted now so you can concentrate on its early training and socializing.ATB

update on my pup,used the benzyl on him hair was back within 2 weeks worked a treat thanks all,took him to vets for 1st jabs ,vet said how well he looks,told him my past problem, whoops he didnt like what i used ,worked did nt it said i .he was proberly gutted that i never spent £200 on skin scrapes with him ,just a tip lads get ya benzyl quick as its all being took off the shelfs to the public atb BB

why is it bein taken off the shelf? do you get it from a chemist? atb

so that the likes of us spend more dosh down the vets probly lol, its being put under licence ,only sold on presciption ,it also sorts out sweetitch on horses ,in all honesty i think the big companys wernt making any money on here expensive products when you could get benzyl for a fiver thats my theory anyhow atb BB here my pup now
