I always have a bag of sets to over-winter. This year I thought I might try and grow them through black landscape fabric. Save on the weeding next spring/summer. I do my spring planted onions through fabric and they do fine. Has anyone tried it and with what result.

I've not tried it, but I can't see why not.

I could see where black poly which is not porous might not work , but fabric does allow water to penetrate.
