wont knock a dead man but there is better books out there. im reading country mischief at min by colin didrikson and its top class better than any ive read on country sports. john darcys books are ok but he never really beat extreme lurcherwork in my opinion. paul dooley did a good book stormy nights and frosty mornings and the moochers tale by phil loyd is a good read too but the best book ever is your own personal diary!!! hope that helps

It`s a good book, very informative about all aspects of lurcher work, and lurcher care etc.Brian Plummer was a very intelligent, knowledgable man whose advice based on his experience should not be dismissed.Ted Walsh` Lurchers and Longdogs is also a good book.
